8 weeks till I finish school...Crunch time!!!

Okay, so I am still going through the anxiety stages of life. I have 8 weeks to go before I graduate from Rosemont. This is a real crunch time. I still havent recieved any word on my grad school decision except that it is at the program department waiting for their reccomendation. They said I should be hearing something soon because it has been 4 weeks, and they cite that they give decisions 4-6 weeks after the completed application.
So if I am accepted, I have to request that my current teachers in the Session CC classes post my grades before the 22nd of Decemeber, so that they can get my conferred transcript out to the school as proof of my degree compeltion. This way I will be able to register and start school on time with the orientation course. Grad school starts in January 2009.
I have been still pondering on whether I want to walk for graduation or not. I think that I deserve it, and due to the fact that whatever grad school I choose to go to, they are all out of state and I definitely wont be walking for those. So maybe I should just do it for the experience. The few night students I do know from classes are nowhere near the May graduation ceremony, so I would be all alone in the procession. I think though that it would be a good experience for my brother and son to see me graduate. So I may just do it.
I'm still upset that I'm three classes short of being able to have honors distinction put on my degree, but there is no way I'm paying 3k more just for some letters typed on my degree. 4.0 is good enough! But I do think that I have a chance at being selected for the Alpha Sigma Lambda honors society which would really be a pick me up.
While going through one of my anxiety moments, researching experiences at WCU, I was looking at linked-in peoples resumes. Many had a honors distinction from WCU with their MPM degree, which was Beta Sigma Gamma. So if I am accepted at WCU, I plan to work hard to hopefully be invited to become a member of that honors society as well.



In the end, I just pray that God blesses me with this grad school admission, and that he also enables my job to pay for these classes. I would think they would allow me to receive tuition reimbursement for this program because there are members here who were reimbursed for the PMP certification test, which directly relates to my grad school program for a Masters in Project Management, which supports me to take the certification test.

Financial Aid...and Grad Schools App woes

Okay, well yesterday I found out through AES, that my financial aid has been approved, and will be disbursed in November. I also emailed financial aid and asked what my Pell grant was looking like. Well, this will be the first time I will have to dish out cash upfront to the tune of $400, to graduate with a zero balance. Not bad, seeing as my job screwed me with the new tuition reimbursement revamp, causing me not to get any help this fall term. But in January, I will definitely be using it if I get into WCU. It's been 21 days since my application was officially complete for review, even though I completed my portion of the application on 9/11. So hopefully in the next few weeks I wont drive myself up a wall waiting to hear a decision. From what I see I meet the minimum requirements, but Lord knows what the rest of them are. All I needed was a GMAT over 400...which I got, and a 3.0 GPA in the 60 credits, which I actually have a 4.0. So hopefully I am admitted and can maintain the 4.0 through grad school.
